Thanks to the P&C, the students were treated to the Scitech Spacedome Show and Workshop. Funds were raised by the P&C through a sausage sizzle at the Community Christmas Carols event to pay for this incursion.
The students were challenged to design, build and test a shelter that can withstand the weather or land a fragile robot on the surface of another planet. They enjoyed the various instruments used by the presenter to try and shift their shelters and robots.
They learnt how astronomers search the night sky and our solar system while they were within the dome. The students learnt about day and night and different constellations.
